Kargil, July 24, KNT: A motorcycle rider from central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was killed in a road accident in the Zanskar district of Ladakh.
The deceased has been identified as Sajad Ahmad, a resident of Checki Prang, Kangan. He is survived by his wife and three children.
According to official sources, the accident occurred in the Zanskar area when the motorcycle ridden by Sajad Ahmad met with an accident under circumstances that are yet to be ascertained. He sustained critical injuries in the mishap.
Despite efforts to save his life, Sajad Ahmad succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident. [KNT]
