Ganderbal, August 3, KNT: Personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Assam Rifles on Monday conducted a joint area domination patrol along the Baltal axis, one of the key routes leading to the Amarnath cave shrine.

Officials said the coordinated patrol formed part of the routine security deployment in the Baltal sector during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra. The exercise involved personnel from the three forces carrying out area surveillance and patrolling along designated stretches.

The Baltal route remains under heightened security during the annual pilgrimage, with multiple security agencies deployed to monitor the movement of pilgrims and maintain vigilance along the route.

The joint patrol was undertaken amid the ongoing pilgrimage, which has witnessed multi-layered security arrangements across both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. [KNT]
