Police Head Constable Critically Injured After Tractor Hits Him at Naka in Jammu’s Bakshi Nagar

Jammu, Aug 11, KNT: A police head constable was critically injured after a tractor allegedly struck him at a naka in Bakshi Nagar area of Jammu and fled the spot without stopping.

The injured officer has been identified as Jai Pal Singh, who is posted at Police Station Bakshi Nagar. He was reportedly performing naka duty when the tractor hit him and sped away.

The injured cop was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for treatment. Given the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently referred to a private hospital for further medical care.

Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and launched efforts to trace and apprehend the tractor driver.

Investigators are also examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the vehicle’s movement before and after the collision. [KNT]
