Woman Dies After Vehicle Accident at Nachiyan Top in Karnah, Another Injured
Karnah, Aug 13, KNT: A woman died after sustaining injuries in a road accident at Nachiyan Top in the Karnah sector of Kupwara district on Thursday morning, while another person injured in the accident was shifted to a higher medical facility for further treatment.
The accident took place at around 7 am, leaving two persons injured. Both were initially taken to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangdhar, where they received preliminary medical treatment before being referred to a higher centre.
One of the injured, identified as Danvant Kour, succumbed to her injuries while being shifted for further treatment.
Officials said the body is being transported to her native place for the last rites.
The condition of the other injured person was not immediately known.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and further details are awaited. [KNT]
