Mumbai, Aug 22, KNT: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has launched the ICICI Prudential Life BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Index Fund, offering customers a value-plus-momentum investment option through select unit-linked insurance plans (ULIPs).
The fund will provide exposure to a diversified basket of 50 companies selected from the BSE 500 universe and will track the ICICI Pru BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Customized Index.
According to the company, the strategy combines two investment factors—value and momentum—with the objective of identifying companies that demonstrate strength on both parameters. The portfolio will follow a rules-based approach and will be reviewed every quarter to reflect changing market valuations and trends.
Manish Kumar, Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, said the strategy was designed to provide customers with a disciplined and transparent investment approach combining valuation comfort with positive market momentum.
The company said that where a stock cannot be selected due to regulatory guidelines, the subsequent eligible stock or stocks will be considered to maintain a basket of 50 stocks.
The launch comes as the insurer reported a claim settlement ratio of 99.3 per cent in Q1-FY2027, with an average turnaround time of one day for non-investigated individual claims.
As of June 30, 2026, the company reported assets under management of ₹3.34 lakh crore and said it has maintained zero non-performing assets since inception. [KNT]
