₹200-Crore Flyover Planned From Pawan Ice Cream to Shankutala in Jammu

Jammu, Sep 1, KNT: A flyover has been proposed between Pawan Ice Cream and Shankutala in Jammu at an estimated cost of ₹200 crore, with the project aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity to major healthcare institutions in the city.
Jammu West MLA Arvind Gupta said the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed flyover has already been prepared and construction is expected to commence by the end of this year.
According to the MLA, the project is intended to improve traffic movement along the busy corridor and facilitate easier access to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, CD Hospital and the Bone & Joint Hospital.
Gupta said the proposed infrastructure project would not require rehabilitation or displacement of residents, indicating that its execution has been planned without affecting existing settlements.
The proposed flyover is expected to provide an additional traffic link in a congested part of Jammu and help streamline the movement of vehicles towards the major hospitals located along the route. [KNT]
