Srinagar, Sep 16, KNT: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has returned to Srinagar after his visit to the United States, officials said.

Sinha had proceeded on leave earlier this month and was in the US during his absence from the Union Territory.

During his absence, President Droupadi Murmu assigned Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena the additional charge of Jammu and Kashmir until Sinha resumed his duties.

With Sinha back in Srinagar, the additional charge assigned to Saxena will cease in accordance with the presidential order covering the period of the J&K Lieutenant Governor’s absence. [KNT]
