Tourist Bus–Tipper Collision Disrupts Traffic on Srinagar–Jammu Highway
Kulgam, March 14, KNT: One person was injured after a passenger bus collided with a tipper at Khudwani Bypass along the Srinagar–Jammu National Highway on Saturday, officials said.
The accident briefly disrupted traffic movement on the busy highway before authorities restored the flow of vehicles.
Officials said the injured person was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The condition of the injured person was not immediately known.
Eyewitnesses said the collision occurred when the passenger tourist bus and the tipper truck collided at the Khudwani Bypass stretch of the highway.
The impact caused temporary congestion on the highway as vehicles slowed down near the accident site.
Traffic police and local authorities reached the spot soon after the incident and managed the movement of vehicles while rescue efforts were carried out.
Officials said traffic on the highway was later restored after the damaged vehicles were cleared from the road. [KNT]
