Fire damages two houses in Srinagar’s Habakadal, two firefighters injured

Srinagar, March 31, KNT: A fire incident in the Haba Kadal area of Srinagar’s old city on Tuesday damaged two residential houses and left two firefighters injured, officials said.

The blaze was reported from the densely populated locality, prompting a response from Fire and Emergency Services personnel.

Officials said two firefighters sustained injuries during the incident. Both were shifted for medical attention, with one reported to have sustained more serious injuries.

Two residential houses were damaged in the fire, officials said, adding that an assessment of the losses is underway.

Authorities said the cause of the fire has not been established so far. [KNT]
