
Srinagar, April 5, KNT: The Public Health Engineering Department has announced that water supply will remain disrupted in several parts of Srinagar and adjoining areas due to urgent repair works on the Sindh Power Canal.
According to a public notice issued by the Office of the Executive Engineer, Water Works Division Srinagar, the repair work is scheduled to be carried out by the CMD Ganderbal on April 6. As a result, raw water supply to the water treatment plants at Alusteng and Rangil will be affected.

The disruption in potable water supply is expected to last for approximately 24 hours, beginning from 6:00 a.m. on April 6 until 6:00 a.m. on April 7.
The department said the affected areas include Zakora, Gulab Bagh, Alusteng, Khullamulla, Habak, Naseem Bagh, Busserbugh, Malabagh, Pandach, Buchpora, Soura, Anchar, Balhama, Zoonimar, Nowshara, Bagh-i-Ali Mardan Khan, Zaindar Mohalla, Alamgari Bazar, Rajouri Kadal, Nallamar, Nawakadal, Bohri Kadal, Nowhatta, Lal Bazar, Hazratbal, Saida Kadal, Eidgah, Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowpora, Nawa Bazar, Gunjpura, Habba Kadal, Batamaloo, Baghat, Barzulla, and adjoining areas.
People have been advised to store sufficient water in advance to meet their needs during the disruption period.
For any complaints or grievances, the department said the PHE Provincial Control Room will remain functional round the clock.. [KNT]
