Pulwama, April 9, KNT: A consumer in Pulwama has reported a discrepancy in the delivery of an HP gas cylinder, stating that the cylinder was marked as delivered despite not being received.

According to the consumer, the cylinder was booked on March 26 and the booking was successfully processed. However, a message received on April 8 indicated that the cylinder had been delivered and acknowledged.

The consumer said they had no knowledge of the delivery and had not authorized anyone to receive the cylinder on their behalf.

The incident has raised concerns regarding verification procedures during LPG deliveries and the possibility of delivery errors or misuse within the system.

The consumer has sought clarification from Reshi Gas Agency in Pulwama regarding the status of the delivery and the identity of the individual who reportedly acknowledged receipt.

No official response from the concerned agency was available at the time of reporting.

Domestic LPG cylinder deliveries typically require verification, including OTP confirmation or acknowledgment at the time of handover, to ensure proper delivery to registered consumers.

Discrepancies in delivery status can lead to inconvenience for consumers and raise concerns about accountability within the distribution system. [KNT]
