Updated: Two Bodies Found in Kamad Anantnag Identified as Missing Since March, Probe Intensifies

Anantnag, April 13, KNT: Two bodies found inside a residential house in Kamad area of Anantnag have been identified as a missing male and female from Schichen village, with police continuing investigation into the circumstances of their deaths.

The bodies were recovered earlier after locals alerted police, prompting a response to the house of Mohammad Jabar Bhat, son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, in the area.

The case has taken a significant turn as both deceased had been reported missing since March 18, adding a new dimension to the investigation.

Officials identified the deceased as Mudasir Ahmad Lone and a lady (name withheld), both residents of Schichen village.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) examined the scene and collected evidence to ascertain the cause of death.

Police said investigation is underway to determine the sequence of events leading to the deaths, while further details are awaited. [KNT]
