Youth Killed, Another Critical as Car Overturns in South Kashmir’s Anantnag

Anantnag, April 30, KNT: A youth was killed and another critically injured after a car overturned on KP Road in the Mattan area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday evening.

The accident occurred at Bumzoo when a Polo vehicle bearing registration number DL3CCN8591, traveling from Pahalgam towards Anantnag, lost control and overturned.

Two passengers sustained critical injuries in the incident and were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Seer Hamdhan for treatment.

One of the injured, Umer Bashir Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat and a resident of Pazalpora Bijbehara, later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The other injured has been identified as Yawer Manzoor Lone, son of Manzoor Ahmad Lone, also a resident of Pazalpora Bijbehara. His condition is reported to be critical.
