Non-Local Youth Found Unconscious in Hyderpora Rented Accommodation, Declared Dead at SMHS

Srinagar, June 25, KNT: An 18-year-old non-local youth was found unconscious in the bathroom of his rented accommodation in the Hyderpora area of Srinagar and was later declared brought dead at SMHS Hospital, officials said on Thurssday.

The deceased has been identified as Sanu, son of Mohammad Aehsaan, a resident of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, who was residing in Hyderpora as a tenant.

According to officials, the youth was found unconscious inside the bathroom of his rented room, following which he was shifted to SMHS Hospital by a police party from Police Station Saddar.

Doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead, officials said.

Police have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death. The exact cause of death will be determined after completion of medico-legal formalities and other necessary investigations.
