Jammu, June 7, KNT: The Indian Army on Sunday paid tribute to Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami, who lost his life while undertaking operational duties in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A wreath-laying ceremony with full military honours was held in memory of the young officer, where senior Army officers, soldiers and officials paid their respects.

According to the White Knight Corps, Lieutenant Goswami made the supreme sacrifice on June 6 while carrying out operational duties in an area marked by rugged terrain, steep cliffs and adverse weather conditions.

Paying homage to the officer, the White Knight Corps said his unwavering commitment to duty, exemplary courage and selfless devotion to the nation embodied the finest traditions of the Indian Army.

“His life was a testament to selfless service, unwavering commitment and supreme devotion to duty. His sacrifice shall remain a beacon of inspiration for all ranks,” the Corps said in a statement.
