Boulevard Road Four-Laning, Gousia Hospital Extension on Cards, Sagar Assures Push

Srinagar, May 30, KNT: National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar on Saturday assured people that he would pursue resumption of work on the proposed four-laning of Boulevard Road and extension of Gousia Hospital, while also raising demands related to sports infrastructure and tourism development with the government.

The assurances are important for locals in parts of Khanyar constituency, where several civic, healthcare, and infrastructure demands remain pending. Locals are seeking progress on projects related to connectivity, public facilities, and tourism.

Sagar said the issue of stalled work on the proposed four-laning of Boulevard Road would be taken up with the concerned authorities, describing the project as important for improving connectivity and easing traffic pressure in adjoining areas.

He also assured people that the demand for extension of Gousia Hospital would be strongly pursued with the government to improve healthcare infrastructure and services in the constituency.

The MLA further promised to raise the demand for playground facilities for Nishat and Brane areas, saying sports infrastructure and recreational spaces required focused attention.

Sagar additionally spoke of bringing what he described as an important developmental shift toward tourism in Khanyar constituency, indicating that tourism-related initiatives would also form part of his engagement with the government.

The assurances were made during Sagar’s visit to Brane and Baba Demb areas of Khanyar constituency, where residents apprised him of local concerns and highlighted pending developmental requirements. [KNT]
