DC Reviews Dr Ali Jan Road Upgrade, Pushes for Faster Completion

Srinagar, July 14, KNT: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Tuesday conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing upgradation works along Dr Ali Jan Road and directed the executing agencies to expedite the project to ensure its timely completion.

The inspection focused on the progress of works being carried out on the strategically important road corridor connecting Eidgah with SKIMS Soura, which witnesses heavy vehicular movement and frequent traffic congestion.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the pace and quality of the ongoing works and stressed the need for strict adherence to construction standards while ensuring effective coordination among all departments associated with the project.

He instructed the executing agencies to remove bottlenecks hampering progress and complete the remaining works within the stipulated timeframe to minimise inconvenience to commuters.

The upgradation of Dr Ali Jan Road is aimed at improving traffic flow, easing congestion on the busy Eidgah–SKIMS Soura corridor and enhancing connectivity for thousands of daily commuters, including patients and emergency vehicles accessing the tertiary healthcare facility. [KNT]
