CDS Anil Chauhan Visits North Kashmir, Interacts With Troops

Baramulla, April 4, KNT: General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff of India, visited part of North Kashmir and interacted with army personnel during his tour, officials said.

During the visit, General Chauhan reviewed the operational preparedness of the forces and assessed the prevailing situation in the region, officials said.

He also held interactions with officers and soldiers deployed in forward areas, appreciating their role in maintaining security and stability.

Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the Chief of Defence Staff emphasized the importance of continued coordination among the armed forces and maintaining readiness to respond to emerging challenges.

The visit included discussions on operational matters and ongoing security measures in North Kashmir, they added.

Personnel present during the interaction shared ground-level experiences and operational feedback with the Chief of Defense Staff.

The tour is part of ongoing efforts by senior defense leadership to engage with troops on the ground and review security arrangements in sensitive areas. [KNT]
