Srinagar, May 2, KNT: The Eighth Central Pay Commission will visit Srinagar from June 1 to June 4, 2026, as part of its outreach to gather inputs from stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir, according to an official notice.
The Commission has invited organizations and institutions of the Central Government, as well as bodies from Jammu and Kashmir, including unions and associations, to submit memoranda ahead of the visit.
Stakeholders seeking to interact with the Commission in Srinagar have been asked to first submit their memoranda through the official website and then apply for an appointment. The deadline for submitting requests, along with the generated memorandum ID, has been fixed as May 16, 2026.
Officials said venue details and the meeting schedule will be communicated separately after the submission process is completed.
The visit is part of a broader consultation exercise, with the Commission also planning similar meetings in other states and Union Territories.
The development is expected to draw participation from various employee groups and organizations seeking to present their demands and recommendations on pay structure and service conditions. [KNT]
