CIK Conducts Search at Srinagar Residence in UAPA Case

Srinagar, June 27, KNT: Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday conducted a search at a residence in Srinagar in connection with an ongoing investigation into FIR No. 07/2023 registered at Police Station CIK Kashmir under Sections 153-A, 505 and 506 IPC and Sections 13, 18, 18-B and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Official sources said the search was carried out at the residence of Riyaz Ahmad Beigh, a resident of Hokarsar on the outskirts of Srinagar, who originally belongs to Dalal Mohalla, Fateh Kadal. The operation was conducted by a CIK team with the assistance of Police Station Shalteng.

During the course of the search, investigators seized a Redmi 12 mobile phone, which will be examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

Officials said the search concluded peacefully without any law and order issue. No arrest was reported during the operation. [KNT]
