Srinagar, Sep 2, KNT: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has filed a charge-sheet before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Budgam, against five accused in a case involving alleged fabrication and use of forged School Education Department documents to facilitate the purported adjustment of three persons as teachers in Zone Nagam, Charar-i-Sharief.
The charge-sheet was filed in FIR No. 36/2021 registered under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 201 and 120-B RPC.
According to the investigation, the case originated from a communication received from the Director, School Education Kashmir, regarding three persons who had joined as teachers in Zone Nagam on the basis of purported transfer/adjustment orders allegedly issued by the Directorate.
The investigation found that the questioned orders carried forged signatures as well as fictitious order and dispatch/endorsement numbers.
Records obtained from the ZEO Nagam and CEO Budgam confirmed that Mohammad Ayaz Rather, Sheikh Ruhail Ahmad and Tanveer Ahmad Rather had been transferred/adjusted on the basis of the questioned documents. Verification with the Directorate further established that its order book had been closed on December 31, 2019, indicating that the order and endorsement numbers cited in the documents were fictitious.
The investigation further established, according to the charge-sheet, that the three individuals had never been appointed anywhere in the Education Department.
The accused identified in the case are Nisar Ahmad Bhat, a teacher from Iqbal Colony, Tral; Shakir Gull of Kachdoora, Shopian; Mohammad Ayaz Rather of Takipora, Shopian; Sheikh Ruhail Ahmad of Kachdoora, Shopian; and Tanveer Ahmad Rather of Khudpora Mowgam, Anantnag.
The EOW investigation alleged that Nisar Ahmad Bhat and Shakir Gull acted as facilitators/intermediaries, while Bhat arranged the means and machinery allegedly used for fabrication and printing of the forged official documents.
The investigating agency stated that the allegations were found substantiated during investigation and the charge-sheet was presented before the court for judicial determination. [KNT]
