CRPF Head Constable Dies After Falling Unconscious in Handwara

Handwara, July 27, KNT: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel died after suddenly falling unconscious at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara on Monday, officials said.

The deceased has been identified as Head Constable (GD) V. Shiv Kumar, a resident of Ramambal village in Tamil Nadu, who was serving with D Company of the 92 Battalion CRPF.

Officials said the CRPF personnel suddenly became unconscious at DPL Handwara and was immediately rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara for medical treatment.

However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead.

The body has been kept in the mortuary of GMC Handwara, where medico-legal formalities are being completed. The exact cause of death will be ascertained after the necessary medical examination. [KNT]
