Jammu, May 20, KNT: A reported drone drop in agricultural fields of Bahadurpur village in Jammu’s Bishnah sector on Wednesday triggered a police response and search operation, with authorities launching an investigation into the suspected aerial movement and material allegedly dropped from the device.
The incident was reported at around 10:45 a.m. when Darshan Lal, son of Des Raj and a resident of Bahadurpur village, informed authorities that he had seen a drone hovering over agricultural land while he was ploughing his field.
According to the information received by police, the drone remained over the area briefly before allegedly dropping suspected material and flying away.
The report prompted immediate action from Police Station Bishnah and concerned officials, who rushed to the village and cordoned off the area.
Police launched searches in and around the agricultural fields soon after reaching the spot. Officials also initiated inquiry procedures and began questioning locals while extending search operations to adjoining areas.
Authorities said efforts were underway to trace and recover the suspected material allegedly dropped by the drone.
