Gulmarg, June 17, KNT: Mesmerized by the scenic grandeur of Kashmir, Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, General Secretary of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, has described the Valley as a paradise on earth and urged people across the country to visit the region and experience its natural beauty and hospitality firsthand.

During his visit to Gulmarg and several other tourist destinations across the Kashmir Valley, Jaiswal said he was deeply impressed by the breathtaking landscapes, lush meadows and serene atmosphere that make Kashmir one of the country’s premier tourist destinations.

“If there is truly a paradise on earth, it is Kashmir,” Jaiswal said, while appreciating the warmth and hospitality extended by the local people.

He said the people of Kashmir are known for their sincerity and welcoming nature and maintained that visitors should come to the Valley and witness the ground reality themselves. According to him, much of the negative perception surrounding Kashmir is at variance with what tourists actually experience during their visits.

Jaiswal said tourism can flourish further if more people travel to the Valley without apprehension and explore its natural and cultural attractions.

Expressing concern over environmental issues, he appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir government to impose a strict ban on the use of plastic and polythene at tourist destinations. He said preservation of the Valley’s pristine environment is essential for sustainable tourism and future generations.

He stressed that protecting tourist spots from pollution should remain a priority and called for collective efforts to maintain the cleanliness and ecological balance of Kashmir’s renowned destinations. [KNT]
