J&K Assembly’s 6th session to begin on September 21, Nine-day provisional calendar issued by Assembly Secretariat

Srinagar, Sep 8, KNT: The sixth session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin on September 21, according to the provisional calendar issued by the Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday.

The session will commence with obituary references and government business on September 21, followed by government business on September 22.

September 23 has been marked as a holiday on account of the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.

The Assembly will take up Private Members’ Bills on September 24, followed by Private Members’ Resolutions on September 25. September 26 has been designated an off day, while September 27 will be a holiday.

Private Members’ Bills are scheduled for September 28, followed by government business on September 29. The final day, September 30, has been listed for government business, “if any”.

The provisional calendar has been issued under the authority of Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather and is dated September 8, 2026. [KNT]
