Kulgam: Out-of-State Vehicles, Unregistered Motorcycles Come Under Scanner

Kulgam, June 3, KNT: Kulgam Police on Wednesday conducted intensive vehicle checking and search operations across the Yaripora, Frisal and Behibagh areas as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and maintain law and order in the district.

During the operation, police personnel established checking points and carried out verification of vehicles moving through the identified areas.

Officials said special emphasis was laid on the inspection of out-of-state vehicles and motorcycles, particularly those operating without registration number plates or valid documents.

Police teams scrutinized vehicle records and conducted searches to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to prevent misuse of vehicles for unlawful activities.

The operation formed part of a broader security exercise aimed at enhancing vigilance and monitoring movement in sensitive areas.

Kulgam Police said such drives would continue in different parts of the district to ensure public safety and strengthen preventive policing measures.

Officials reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the security of residents through regular inspections, verification drives and area domination exercises. [KNT]
