Nazim Zia Khan posted as FCS&CA Director Kashmir, Shreya Singhal given additional charge as Director Information

Srinagar, March 30, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday ordered the transfer and posting of six IAS and JKAS officers in an administrative reshuffle with immediate effect, officials said.

The move is part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at streamlining governance and ensuring effective functioning of key departments across the Union Territory.

According to an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Nazim Zia Khan, an IAS officer, has been posted as Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Kashmir.

Dr Sagar Doifode Dattatray, IAS, has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department. He will also hold the additional charge of Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP), the order said.

Shreya Singhal, IAS, currently serving as Managing Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation, has been assigned the additional charge of Director Information, Jammu and Kashmir. The arrangement will come into effect from April 1, 2026, officials said.

Meanwhile, Mahima Madan, IAS, has been relieved of the additional charge of Additional Secretary in the Resident Commission, New Delhi, as part of the reshuffle.

In another posting, Amit Gupta, IAS, has been appointed as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Pahalgam, a key tourist destination in south Kashmir.

Rajesh Kumar Shavan, a JKAS officer, has been posted as Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Jammu, officials said.

An official said the order takes immediate effect, with departments directed to ensure smooth transition and assumption of charge by the concerned officers.

Administrative reshuffles are periodically carried out by the government to enhance efficiency, address vacancies and align responsibilities with evolving governance priorities. [KNT]
