Police Sensitize Students on Drug Abuse, Inspect Chemist Shops in South Kashmir’s Kulgam

Kulgam, April 10, KNT: Kulgam Police on Friday conducted drug awareness programmes across the district under the “Nasha-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan,” with a key session held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Yaripora, officials said.

The programme saw active participation from students and faculty members, with police officials sensitizing attendees about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the need for collective efforts to address the issue.

According to officials, participants were encouraged to act as ambassadors for a drug-free society and to spread awareness within their communities.

In addition to the awareness sessions, police teams also carried out inspections of several drug and chemist shops in the district to ensure compliance with regulations, officials said.

Kulgam Police reiterated its commitment to curbing drug abuse and trafficking and urged members of the public to cooperate in efforts aimed at building a drug-free society.

Further such programmes are expected to continue as part of the ongoing campaign.[KNT]
