Jammu, April 17, KNT: Police in Jammu province have launched a focused training drive to strengthen preparedness for VIP security and high-risk duties, with sessions currently underway at District Police Lines Samba and Doda.

The two-day module, being conducted across districts, is aimed at improving operational readiness, alertness, and professional competence of personnel deployed on sensitive assignments.

Officials said the programme focuses on real-time security scenarios, including VIP movement arrangements and handling of modern security equipment, to enhance response capability in the field.

The training also seeks to sensitise personnel about their roles and responsibilities, while reinforcing adherence to standard operating procedures amid evolving security challenges.

A large number of police personnel, including Gazetted and Non-Gazetted Officers, are participating in the sessions, reflecting a broad-based approach to capacity building.

Rakesh Kumar, JKPS, Staff Officer to IGP Security J&K, and Khalid Amin, SSP Security J&K, addressed the participants and delivered detailed briefings on operational preparedness.
