Punjab Man Held With Suspected Heroin in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 31, KNT: The Narcotics Task Force (NTF), Srinagar, has apprehended a Punjab resident with a heroin-like substance during a naka operation at the New Bypass near Peaks Automobiles.

An official said the NTF team, headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Kubra Nazir, intercepted a suspect identified as Love Priteet Singh, son of Bilbar Singh, a resident of Amritsar, Punjab.

During his personal search, the police recovered approximately 70–80 grams of a heroin-like substance from his possession.

The accused was taken into custody by the Narcotics Task Force for further legal proceedings.

Police said details regarding the registration of the case and further investigation would be communicated separately. [KNT]
