Quds: Thousands Join Rally in Kashmir, Raise Slogans in Support of Iran and Palestine

Budgam, March 13, KNT: A large congregation assembled at the Markazi Imambara in Budgam on Friday following which thousands of mourners took out a peaceful rally and marched towards the Main Chowk area of the town, witnesses said.
Participants gathered at the central Imambara in the morning and later formed a procession that moved through the town amid slogans and demonstrations.
Witnesses said thousands of mourners participated in the rally which proceeded peacefully through Budgam town.

During the march, participants raised slogans in support of Iran and Palestine. Some demonstrators were also seen carrying Iranian flags and photographs of Iranian leaders.
Officials said authorities were monitoring the situation while the rally continued through designated routes towards the main town square.
In Magam area of Budgam district, Peoples Democratic Party legislator Aga Syed Muntazir addressed a gathering and demanded the immediate release of mourners who were reportedly detained.
Speaking to the gathering, Aga Syed Muntazir said that the ongoing conflict involving Iran had been imposed on the country.

“The war was thrust on Iran and the country is bravely fighting against evil forces,” he said while addressing the gathering.
He also called for the release of mourners, saying people had gathered peacefully.
Local residents said large numbers of people had assembled to participate in the rally and express solidarity with the causes raised during the procession.
Authorities have not issued an official statement regarding detentions mentioned during the gathering. [KNT]
