
New Delhi, June 1, KNT: The results of JEE Advanced 2026 were declared on Sunday, with Shubham Kumar from the IIT Delhi zone securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 and emerging as the national topper.
The results reflected a strong showing by the IIT Delhi zone, which produced the top three rank holders in one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance examinations.
According to official figures, Shubham Kumar topped the examination by scoring 330 marks out of 360.
Kabir Chhillar secured second position with 329 marks, while Jatin Chahar claimed third rank with 319 marks, completing a clean sweep for the IIT Delhi zone.
Among women candidates, Arohi Deshpande from the IIT Delhi zone emerged as the highest-ranked female candidate. She scored 280 out of 360 marks and secured the 77th position in the Common Rank List.
The examination witnessed large-scale participation across the country.
A total of 1,87,389 candidates registered for JEE Advanced 2026, of whom 1,79,694 appeared in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 conducted on May 17.
Out of the candidates who appeared, 56,880 qualified the examination, including 10,107 female candidates.
Prof Kamal Kishore Pant, Director IIT Roorkee, congratulated successful candidates and urged them to participate in the counselling and seat-allocation process under JoSAA 2026.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all candidates who have qualified JEE (Advanced) 2026. This achievement is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence,” he said.
He advised all qualified candidates to participate in counselling irrespective of their Class XII marks, while clarifying that final admissions would remain subject to fulfilment of eligibility requirements prescribed under the JEE Advanced 2026 information guidelines.
Candidates can access their results by logging in through the official portal using their Roll Number, Date of Birth and registered mobile number.
The JEE Advanced scorecard includes candidate details, qualification status, All India Rank, subject-wise marks, total score, category rank and cutoff information. [KNT]
