Six-Year-Old Girl Killed in Road Accident in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 27, KNT: A six-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a vehicle in the Rambagh area of Srinagar on Friday, officials said.

The minor, identified as Ayat, daughter of Imtiyaz Ahmad and a native of Dayalgam in Anantnag district, sustained critical injuries in the accident.

She was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.

The tragic incident has triggered grief in the family’s native village and among relatives. [KNT]
