Young Man Killed After Dumper Falls Into Drain on Samba–Mansar Road

Samba, April 3, KNT: A young man was killed after a dumper fell into a drain near Jamoda on the Samba–Mansar road in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The deceased has been identified as Surinder Singh, 35, a resident of Paltha in Samba district.

According to officials, the dumper bearing registration number JK21G-5779 was coming from Udhampur when it met with an accident and plunged into a roadside drain.

Surinder Singh died on the spot due to the impact, officials said.

Police reached the scene soon after receiving information and took possession of the body.

The body has been shifted to District Hospital Samba for post-mortem examination.

Police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. [KNT]
