Srinagar, May 28, KNT: A Tata Tiago carrying four non-local passengers and a local driver met with an accident near Bathir Kadal on Nishat Bund, close to Nishat Bagh in Srinagar, officials and locals said.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK05H-1380, was involved in the mishap under circumstances that were not immediately known.
Soon after the accident, local residents and a police team from Nishat Police Station rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
The police party, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Parvez Ahmad, assisted in safely evacuating all occupants from the vehicle.
The car was carrying four non-local passengers along with a local driver at the time of the incident.
No fatalities were reported in the mishap. However, details regarding injuries, if any, were not immediately available.
Police and locals worked jointly to secure the area and facilitate rescue efforts. [KNT]
