Teen fruit vendor stabbed in Srinagar’s Soura, accused at large

Srinagar, March 27, KNT: An 18-year-old fruit vendor was injured after being stabbed by another person in the Soura area of Srinagar on Friday, officials said.

The attack took place near Jinab Sahib, where the youth was assaulted with a sharp-edged weapon, resulting in injuries, officials added.

The injured youth was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his condition was stated to be stable.

He has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Rasool Dar, a resident of Chinar Colony, Bemina.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances behind the attack and identify the accused.

Officials said efforts are underway to trace the assailant and determine the motive behind the stabbing.
