Three Injured After Pashmina Press Machine Burst in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 24, KNT: Three workers were injured on Tuesday after a pashmina press machine burst in the Palpora Noorbagh area of Srinagar, officials said.

The injured were immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment, where one of them has been reported to be in critical condition.

The critically injured has been identified as Bilal Ahmed, aged about 20, a resident of Lolab Kupwara. The two others, Rafaqat, aged about 23, a resident of Bemina, and Mohsin Khan, aged about 22, son of late Showkat Ahmad and a resident of Hamdania Colony, Bemina, sustained superficial injuries.

Hospital sources said that the condition of Bilal Ahmed is being closely monitored, while the other two have received medical attention for minor injuries.

The incident reportedly occurred inside a pashmina processing unit when the press machine malfunctioned and burst, causing injuries to the employees present at the site. [KNT]
