Three Vehicles Gutted in Midnight Blaze at Tarboni in Karnah; Probe Underway

Kupwara, July 1, KNT: A major fire broke out late Tuesday night in the Tarboni area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, completely destroying two cars and a motorcycle.

Officials said the blaze damaged a Tata Punch (JK09C-9118) owned by Mohinder Singh, an Alto K10 (JK08F-4665) belonging to Karan Singh, and a Pulsar 150 motorcycle owned by Sanju Singh.

Soon after the fire was reported, personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services, Army, and local residents rushed to the spot and launched a joint firefighting operation. Their timely response brought the blaze under control and prevented it from spreading to nearby houses and properties.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

Police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire. The exact reason behind the blaze is yet to be determined. [KNT]
