Two Missing Students from Baramulla Traced in New Delhi

Baramulla, Mar 28, KNT: Two minor students reported missing from Bandi Payeen area of Baramulla district have been traced in New Delhi, police said on Thursday.

A spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir Police said that Police Station Chandussa received a complaint regarding the disappearance of two boys — Mohsin Manzoor Najar, an eighth-class student, son of Manzoor Ahmad Najar, and Suhail Ahmad Lone, a tenth-class student, son of Mohammad Sultan Lone — both residents of Bandi Payeen.

Following the complaint, FIR No. 06/2019 under relevant sections of law was registered and an investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, it emerged that both minors were heading towards Jammu. Acting on leads and using technical assistance, police traced the boys near Paharganj area of New Delhi.

Baramulla Police subsequently coordinated with local police in Delhi and the two minors were recovered. Officials said the boys are presently staying with the Coordinator of Juvenile Home in New Delhi.

Police said a team from Baramulla has proceeded to Delhi to facilitate the safe return of the minors to their homes. [KNT]
