Vande Bharat Express to Get Experimental Stop at Anantnag Railway Station

Srinagar, Sep 3, KNT: The Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express is set to receive an experimental stoppage at Anantnag railway station following a directive issued by the Railway Board.

According to a Railway Board communication, the 26401/26402 Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express has been listed for a stoppage at Anantnag on an experimental basis.

The communication states that the stoppage will take effect from a date to be finalized, subject to the necessary security clearance.

The Railway Board has also directed that close monitoring be maintained at the station’s ticket counters and that the new stoppage be given wide publicity and compliance ensured.

The move would provide passengers from Anantnag and surrounding areas with direct access to the Vande Bharat service connecting Jammu Tawi and Srinagar. [KNT]
