Two Missing in Jhelum Incident During Sheep Bathing in South Kashmir’s Bijbehara

Anantnag, April 13, KNT: Two youth are feared dead after they slipped into the Jhelum river while washing their sheep near Padshahi Bagh area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The incident occurred when the duo accidentally fell into the river during the activity, triggering an immediate rescue response.

Police and teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the spot soon after the incident and launched a search operation to trace the missing youth.

Officials said the duo belongs to Jablipora village in the district.

Efforts were ongoing at the time of filing this report to locate the two, with rescue teams combing the river stretch.
