Army Chief Reviews Security Situation, Operational Preparedness in Kashmir
Srinagar, July 8, KNT: Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth on Wednesday reviewed the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and combat readiness of troops during his visit to the Kashmir Valley.
The Army Chief was briefed by senior commanders on the overall security scenario, counter-infiltration measures and the operational preparedness of formations deployed across the Valley.
During the visit, General Seth inspected arms, ammunition and other material recovered during recent counter-infiltration operations and reviewed the measures being taken to strengthen the security grid.
He also interacted with troops and field commanders, commending them for their professionalism, vigilance and commitment in maintaining a high state of operational readiness.
The visit comes amid heightened security arrangements and sustained operations aimed at preventing infiltration attempts along the Line of Control. [KNT]
