Uttar Pradesh Worker Dies of Electrocution in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 10, KNT: A 25-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh died after allegedly receiving an electric shock while working in the Shalteng area of Srinagar on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Arbaaz, son of Saleem Ahmad, a resident of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, who was presently residing in Shalteng.

Officials said the injured was shifted to JVC Hospital, Bemina, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

According to the statement of his attendants, Arbaaz was working at Shahi Darbar Restaurant in Shalteng when he allegedly came into contact with an electric current.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings to ascertain the circumstances leading to the electrocution. [KNT]
