Police Attach House of Alleged Drug Smuggler in South Kashmir’s Shopian

Shopian, July 29, KNT:  Shopian Police today attached the residential property of an alleged drug smuggler in the Keller area of the district in connection with a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The attached property comprises a double-storeyed residential house along with its yard, having a plinth area of 673.197 square feet under Survey No. 131 at Kathohallan village in Keller. Police said the property is valued at approximately Rs. 18,76,665.

The property belongs to Nazir Ahmad Lone, son of Reshi Lone, a resident of Kathohallan, Keller, who is an accused in FIR No. 27/2025 registered under Sections 8/15 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Keller.

The attachment was carried out by Police Station Keller in the presence of the Executive Magistrate, Keller, and the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Keller, in accordance with legal procedures.

Police said the accused is presently at his residence, while further proceedings in the case are underway. [KNT]
