Woman Dies After Scooty Skids Off Road in South Kashmir’s Shopian

Shopian, Aug 18, KNT: A woman died while her son sustained minor injuries after the scooty they were travelling on skidded off the road at Amerbugh in the Imamsahib area of Shopian district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Saja Banoo, wife of Ghulam Qadir Naikoo, a resident of Kharwara. She was travelling as the pillion rider on the scooty being driven by her son, Shakeel Ahmad Naikoo.

According to preliminary information, the scooty slipped off the road at Amerbugh, resulting in the accident.

Saja Banoo sustained critical injuries in the accident and died on the spot, while Shakeel Ahmad Naikoo suffered minor injuries [KNT]
