Teacher Arrested After 14-Year-Old Pregnant Girl Student Dies on Way to Hospital

Kishtwar, Aug 21, KNT: A 14-year-old girl student died while being taken from Kishtwar towards Doda for medical treatment after she was reportedly found to be pregnant, with police taking a school teacher into custody in connection with the case.

Sources said the minor was being taken towards Doda for an abortion when her condition deteriorated during the journey. She died before reaching the destination.

The teacher, who is reportedly associated with the girl’s school, has been taken into custody as police investigate the circumstances that led to the minor’s pregnancy and her subsequent death.

The circumstances surrounding the case, including the nature of the relationship between the minor and the accused and the events preceding her death, are under investigation.

The incident has caused shock in the Kishtwar area, with local residents demanding a thorough investigation and strict punishment if the allegations against the accused are established.
