Father, 3-Year-Old Son Killed in Budgam Road Accident, Mother Critical

Budgam, Sep 12, KNT: A man and his three-year-old son were killed while the man’s wife sustained critical injuries after a car collided with their motorcycle at Bagiseer in Soibugh area of Budgam district on Saturday.

According to officials, the accident involved a car bearing registration number JK02CV-2129, driven by Nadeem Imtiyaz Mir of Nishat, and a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04G-3449.

The motorcycle was being driven by Naseer Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Ghoom Ahmadpora, Magam. His wife, Dilshada Akhter, 26, and their three-year-old son Hadi were travelling as pillion riders.

Officials said the collision occurred while the car was travelling from Budgam towards Soibugh.

Naseer Ahmad Mir and his son Hadi died on the spot in the collision, while Dilshada Akhter sustained critical injuries.

She was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment, where her condition was stated to be critical.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings are underway. The circumstances leading to the collision are being ascertained. [KNT]
