No fixed timeline for regularization of J&K daily wagers, govt tells Assembly
Srinagar, Sep 24, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has told the Legislative Assembly that there is no fixed timeline yet for finalizing the regularization policy for casual, seasonal, temporary, contractual and need-based workers.
The government said a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary is examining the issue and is considering its legal, administrative and financial implications.
The reply was given in response to a question by CPI(M) MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami seeking the status of the committee’s recommendations and the proposed timeline for regularization.
The government said the committee is still examining the matter and has not fixed a date for submission of its final report. [KNT]
