Nidhi Malik Reviews 13 CLU Cases, Approves One
Reasi, Feb 18, KNT: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee to review cases related to Change of Land Use in the district.
During the meeting, 13 CLU proposals were placed before the Committee. Concerned officers briefed the Chair regarding the prescribed parameters and criteria governing issuance of No Objection Certificates.
After detailed deliberations, one case was approved, two were kept under review pending further examination and clarification through the Divisional Officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee, while 10 proposals were rejected for not meeting the requisite norms.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Divisional Officer JKPCC to undertake site inspections, capture geo-tagged photographs of the locations and ensure thorough verification before issuance of any NOC. She stressed strict adherence to established guidelines to promote planned development and prevent misuse of land.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nitin Verma, Divisional Forest Officer, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and Public Works Department, Tehsildars of Reasi and Pouni, along with other concerned officers.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that land use changes must strictly conform to regulatory frameworks to safeguard environmental and developmental priorities of the district. [KNT]
