Bus–Sumo Collision on Jammu–Poonch Highway Leaves Two Seriously Injured in Rajouri

Rajouri, March 26, KNT: At least two persons were seriously injured after a bus collided with a Sumo vehicle at Ghambir Mughlan on the Jammu–Poonch National Highway on Thursday, officials said.

The accident occurred along the busy highway stretch, triggering panic in the area and prompting an immediate rescue response from locals and authorities.

According to reports, the driver of the Sumo vehicle and a female passenger seated in the front sustained critical injuries in the collision.

Officials said the impact of the crash was severe, raising apprehensions about additional injuries among other occupants, though details were still emerging.

Soon after the accident, rescue teams along with local residents rushed to the spot and launched relief operations.

The injured were evacuated and shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for treatment, where their condition is being monitored.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. KNT]
